𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳? 〰️ It is a traditional remedy to prevent and treat a sore throat amongst other infections. Fire cider contains various herbs, spices and Manuka honey, all soaked in lemon juice and apple cider vinegar. After being soaked for a minimum of 2 weeks, the liquid is then strained and a small amount consumed each day.

The ingredients utilised in fire cider are anti-microbial as well as being high in antioxidants and nutrients such as vitamin C. This recipe has added thyme and oregano for additional anti-microbial effects.

Take 1 tbs p/day after breakfast (if taken on an empty stomach, it can make you feel nauseous). Just a warning- it has a kick! 🔥

Ingredients:

1 cup apple cider vinegar

½ lemon, juice and zest

½ cup ginger, grated

1 tbs turmeric powder

1 onion, finely diced

10 cloves garlic, grated

3 red chillies, finely chopped

1 handful fresh oregano

1 handful fresh thyme

1 tbsp manuka honey

Method:

In a medium jar, stir together ACV turmeric, lemon juice and honey.

Add other ingredients, pressing down to ensure all is submerged.

Leave to soak for 2-4 weeks.

Strain liquid and store in the fridge for 3 months.
